I have a Sades SA 903. It's a gaming Headset (with microphone) using USB Jack.My problem is: Windows 10 isn't recognizing any microphone sound. So i tinker a bit on the software:1.
I opened Device Properties on Microphone (USB Audio Device). InLevels tab, the volume control for microphone is maxed. I pressed both 'Mute Mic' on the headset device on and off, yet windows is still not registering sound.2.
I opened Device Properties on Speakers. In Levelstab, there are volume controls for both Speakers, and 'Microphone'. The'Microphone' one is muted, so i unmute it. Now I can hear my own voice in headset speakers (voices, tapping the microphone, etc). However, Windows still not recognizing the voice, as theVolume bar under 'Test your Microphone' doesn't budge at all.N.B. During 1 and 2, Both USB Audio Device in speakers and microphone are default devices.3. I installed the Windows 10 driver provided from Sades official website, Still no luck.4.
I Installed the Windows 7 driver into my Laptop (That uses Windows 7),The headset and microphone strangely work fine.Windows 7 registered the voice.5. I opened Device Manager. Disabling both Speakers and Microphone and then re-enable it again. Again in Device Manager.
I tried 'Update Drivers', Windows says the device is already up to date.7. Lastly in Device Manager. I uninstall the Devices and 'Scan for Hardware Changes'. Still no luck.8. I tried to install Windows 7 Driver into Windows 10 via Compatibility mode.
The setup was outright rejected, Sades forced me to install Windows 10 Version instead. Please help. For some reason I can't do anything about it. I'm Greg, an installation specialist and 9 year Windows MVP, here to help you. Please run the Recording Sound troubleshooter at Start button SettingsUpdate & SecurityTroubleshoot.Try these fixes next:Some report that what worked is turning off Fast Startup at Settings System Power & Sleep Additional Power Settings Choose what Power buttons do Change Settings Currently Unavailable uncheck the box for Fast Startup, Save Settings.
Restart and thendisable Hibernate file to clear it, restart PC again and enable Hibernate again:Right click the volume icon in System Tray at right end of task bar, open Recording Devices, see if the microphone is listed, set it as Default device.Type Microphone in Start Search, open Set up Microphone, scroll down to Microphone and choose Get started to set it up.Try rolling back the sound controller drivers in Device Manager reached by right clicking the Start Menu. Choose Sound controller device, then Driver tab, then Roll back if available.Update the Sound drivers from the PC's Support Downloads web page. While there make sure you also have the latest Chipset, Display, Network, USB and all other drivers, comparing with the version presently installed in Device Manager. If no newer driver then uninstall the ones presently installed in Device Manager, reached by right clicking the Start Button. Restart PC to reinstall. When did this behavior begin? If you have an idea you might be able to System Restore back to a point before it began:It's possible this was caused by a Windows Update so if nothing above works, go to SettingsUpdate & SecurityWindows Update, check the Installed Updates list for Updates that might have been just installed, try uninstalling them using the Uninstall buttonpresent there. Then hide the Updates using the Hide Updates tool downloaded from here:You might also be able to System Restore back to a point where this worked:Go over this checklist to make sure the install is set up correctly, optimized for best performance, and any needed repairs get done:Start with Step 4 to turn off Startup freeloaders which can conflict and cause issues, then Step 7 to check for infection the most thorough way, then step 10 to check for damaged System Files.
Then continue with the other steps to go over your install mostthoroughly. If nothing else helps then run a Repair Install by installing the Media Creation Tool and choosing from it to Upgrade Now. This solves many problems and will also bring it up to the latest version which you need anyway and by the most stable method. But remember that Factory or Upgrade installs are inferior installs which most enthusiasts won't even run because they'd expect endless issues. Consider doing the Clean Install in this link which compiles the best possible install that will stay that way aslong as you stick with the tools and methods given:There is also an automated Refresh that reinstalls WIndows while shedding corrupting factory bloatware, saves your files, but doesn't clear the drive to get it cleanest:I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and let us know how it goes. I will keep working with you until it's resolved.Standard Disclaimer: There are links to non-Microsoft websites.
