A team of modders from the KOTOR and KOTOR II modding community using tools from Holowan Laboratories have started a project to restore the appropriate missing content and release it as a mod. The main restoration mod was called 'The Sith Lords Restoration Project' and was in development by Team Gizka. It would have restored almost all of the cut content (apart from M4-78).

Hi all, I've played KOTOR 1 and had a great time but have had a bit harder of a time with KOTOR 2. I'm one of those people who is paranoid about missing a possible side quest, piece of important gear, or lore moment. I've played up to the point of completing Telos IV and then I just get overwhelmed by the amount of available quests and more so when I realized that there is a specific order you can visit quest givers and turn these quests in that increases your maximum benefit. Is there a truly comprehensive guide out there that details not only how to pick up all of these side quests but also the specific way or order you have to complete them to maximize your benefit in gear, credits, light/dark force points? The IGN guides and Scorchy's Jedi Jesus walk through really aren't helpful enough. The KOTOR games aren’t nearly as expansive as something like the Witcher 3 for example so you don’t really have to worry about missing out on most quests. I do understand the paranoid feeling and can relate to how overwhelming a game of such magnitude can be, however.
I don’t know if any guides but as a tip I would say take each planet one at a time and go zone to zone talking to every npc. Just by doing that you can gather information and any available quests, even completing some quests depending on the order in which you talk to people. As for missing things such as lore moments and possible conversations that’s just part of the joy of multiple playthroughs of this game. Every now and then it’s still possible to come across a piece of dialogue or interaction that I’ve never experienced before due to bringing different party members with me or by finally gaining full influence with a companion and revealing their entire backstory. It’s difficult to cram everything into one go as a completionist playthrough so my advice would be to take it slow and just enjoy, and allow yourself to uncover more experiences each time you make your way through repeated playthroughs of these great games.
